Key areas of progress
- All districts complete the leadership phase of ‘Service Excellence’ and ‘Service Excellence for the Public Counter' courses (R6 - See page 8 in the table attached).
- Commitment to Service plaques, setting out the service members of the public can expect from Police, were distributed to be displayed in all public areas of Police stations (R6 - see page 8 in the table attached).
- The proposed Quality Assurance Framework (QAIF) for Adult Sexual Assault was consulted at the National Sexual Violence and Child Protection Conference. QAIF rollout is scheduled for 2013 (R9 - see page 1 in the table attached).
- Training continues to ensure that all existing sexual assault investigators are specifically trained in Adult Sexual Assault. Eight further courses were held in this quarter (R9 - see page 1 in the table attached).
- A pamphlet, feedback form and website are all being developed as solutions for keeping victims of sexual assault properly informed (R15 - see page 2 in the table attached).
- The implementation of the district training review is now complete. This will help ensure that the quality and content of all training delivered is nationally consistent (R13 - see page 5 in the table attached).
- An ethnic recruitment media training workshop was held, training 18 existing staff to act as spokespeople, available to take up proactive opportunities to promote ethnic recruitment within their communities and in the media (R50 - see page 18 in the table attached). An electronic training module was launched to educate all staff about the new Protected Disclosures and Integrity Reporting Policies (R53 - see page 20 in the table attached).
