Police continue to build on the feedback provided in the second monitoring report of the Office of the Auditor General, (OAG), and the third monitoring report of State Services Commission. A team has been established within the Human Resource Group to co-ordinate and support this process.
Current work is focused on determining key measures for each work stream and the necessary processes to monitor progress towards high-level outcomes under each work stream.
An executive-level steering committee, chaired by the Deputy Commissioner: Resource Management has been re-established to strengthen governance.
These changes demonstrate that the Commission of Inquiry into Police Conduct remains a priority for Police. This is further reflected in the 2011/12-13/14 Statement of Intent and the 2011/12 National Business Plan.
Recommendation 51 – Organisational Health Audit
The 2011 Workplace Survey was held between 16 May and 30 June 2011. The survey results were presented to the Police executive on 20 July 2011, and have been circulated to staff.
