17 June 2023 | The chair of the UPD Panel Tā Kim Workman spoke at the Waitangi Tribunal Te Tūāpapa o te Tika wānanga at Raukawa Marae.
Te Tūāpapa o te Tika/ the bedrock of what is right or just - wananga are part of Te Rau o te Tika: the Justice System Kaupapa Inquiry (WAI 3060) process. Te Tūāpapa o te Tika is about informing and extending our understanding of the principles of tikanga and Justice and to guide the WAI 3060 Inquiry process.
In his whaikōrero / speech Tā Kim spoke about where the Understanding Police Delivery programme came from and the value of the mahi ahead.
