Police can now confirm the name of the woman whose body was found by Lake Rotorua on the morning of Friday 18 October.
She was Rotorua woman Melissa Merika Jones, aged 25.
We extend our sympathies to her family during this difficult time.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
"We are working to piece together the circumstances leading up towards the death," says Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Van Kempen.
Police also want to hear from anyone who has any information in relation to this incident.
