Counties Manukau Police has continued its enquiries into the incident in Bairds Road, Otara on Sunday 1st September where a 17-year-old male received a gunshot wound.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mal Hassall says enquiries have established that the shooting was accidental and Police are not seeking anyone else in regards to the incident.
Police are currently working to locate the firearm involved as part of our enquiries.
