Police were called after a man’s body was found on Mangawhai Heads Beach around 11:30am this morning.
The man had been swimming before he was found unresponsive by members of the public. Attempts at CPR were unsuccessful.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and will be referred to the Coroner.
