One person has been arrested in relation to the kidnapping of an 87-year-old man in Hastings last month.
A 35-year-old woman is due to appear in Hastings District Court today charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
On Saturday 28 July, the elderly man was approached in the Countdown car park, on the corner of Queen Street West and King Street North, by a number of offenders who forced him into the backseat of his own car.
He was then driven to another Hastings suburb where a large sum of money was withdrawn from his account.
Police continue to make enquiries to locate anyone else involved in this incident.
