Home > Advice & Services > Accessing information > Request a Traffic Crash Report (TCR) > Request a Traffic Crash Report about a crash you were not involved in (Official Information Act)
Section 211 of the Land Transport Act 1998 provides any person with the opportunity to request a TCR held by the New Zealand Police. Any request for a TCR from a person not directly involved in the crash, is subject to release provisions outlined under the Official Information Act 1982. You can expect the information to be made available unless there is good reason to withhold it.
