Attempted murder charge following Riccarton stabbing

A 58-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder in relation to a stabbing at a house in Picton Avenue, Riccarton yesterday.
 
The woman is scheduled to appear in Christchurch District Court this morning. She is also charged with wilfully damaging property.
 
A scene guard remains in place at the house today.
