Media request - Whanganui shooting

The victim of the assault which preceded the shooting of Savey Sous on 6 January has today contacted Police to advise that some media outlets are continuing to attempt to contact her, despite her making it clear that she does not wish to speak to media.
 
While Police understand the interest in this incident, we would respectfully ask that media do not make any further attempts to contact the victim.
 
This has been a hugely traumatic experience for her and she has asked that media respect her wish for privacy at this time.
