Police can now release the name of the woman who was found deceased after a house fire in Mt Roskill, on Tuesday night.
She was Linda Winifred Edwards, aged 58 years old.
A post mortem examination has been carried out, however further test results are awaited to find out how Ms Edwards died.
A 25 year-old man known to Ms Edwards has been charged with arson in relation to the fire, and also faces a charge of using a document.
He will reappear in the Auckland District Court on Monday 14 November.
THe investigation into the fatal house fire and the cause of Linda Edward’s death are ongoing and Police do not expect to know more until test results are received.
