A man has died following a vehicle crash in Omanaia, Northland this evening.
Police were called to the crash just before 10pm this evening where a car has crashed and landed in a creek. There were two people in the vehicle and while one person got out of the water with minor injuries the second person was trapped in the water and has died at the scene.
The Serious Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Police offer their sympathies to the friends and families of the deceased at this time.
