A pig hunter missing in the Taupo area has been located.
The 35-year-old has been transported by helicopter to Rotorua Hospital with back and abdominal injuries. He had earlier called emergency services to say he had fallen around 25m down a bank at Marotiri.
Police would like to extend their thanks to the LandSAR volunteers who assisted in the search. The volunteers have taken time off work and battled thick bush and rough terrain in their efforts to locate the man.
