A homicide investigation is underway into the disappearance of missing Northland man Kimble Moore.
Forty-eight-year-old Moore, from Waipapakauri, was reported missing by his partner from a Taipa address early on Friday, March 18 this year. Since then Police have been investigating his disappearance.
“Information gathered during our investigation has led us to treat Mr Moore’s disappearance as a homicide investigation,” says Detective Inspector Kevin Burke.
“We have made a number of arrests in relation to other offending uncovered during the investigation. Many of those people are in custody on charges including aggravated robbery, unlawful possession of firearms, offering to sell methamphetamine
“As this is an active investigation we cannot discuss specifics of the case, or suspects, however we are following positive lines of enquiry,” says Mr Burke.
“So far we’ve received information from members of the public which has greatly assisted Police, and we encourage anyone else who has information on Mr Moore’s disappearance to contact us at Kaitaia Police Station on 09 408 6500.”
