Police have identified the man who was found deceased in Thames this morning.
The man is a 36 year-old Thames local. His next of kin are currently being notified and his name is not expected to be released today.
The man was found in a service lane between Mary and Queen Streets at around 7:00am this morning. Police continue to examine the scene and his death remains unexplained at this time.
Police expect the service lane to remain closed today and continue to ask anyone with information to contact Thames Police on 07 867 9604.
Police would particularly like to hear about any suspicious or odd sightings and noise from the service lane or nearby town area between 4:00pm on Sunday and 7:00am this morning.
