Men charged following vehicle theft and arson

Dunedin Police have charged two men following the theft and arson of a vehicle in the city on Friday night. 
 
The two men are also alleged to have been involved in two petrol drive-offs that night, one in Dunedin and one in Gore. 
 
The two men, both aged 18 and from Dunedin, will appear in Dunedin District Court tomorrow.  They face a range of charges, including theft, arson, stealing a motor vehicle, and unlawfully getting into a motor vehicle. 
 
Police would like to thank the members of the public who notified Police of the car fire and two men acting suspiciously in the area.  The information provided enabled the quick identification of the two men.
