Wellington Police have located and arrested Matthew Taylor in the Khandallah area of Wellington.
Police would like to thank the many members of the public and local residents who phoned Police advising of suspicious activity in the Khandallah area on Friday morning.
As a direct result of these calls Police were able to locate Mr Taylor and arrest him without incident early on Friday afternoon, 22 July 2016.
Detective Sergeant Haley Ryan says this is an excellent example of the public and Police working in partnership together for a safer community.
People should always phone 111 if they notice any suspicious behaviour. Police always take these reports seriously and follow up where appropriate.
