Hawke’s Bay Police are looking for information regarding an incident that happened in Napier on Wednesday June 22.
A 17 year old female was out running at approximately 6.30pm on Wednesday evening, and was running the stairs that lead from Shakespeare Road to Bay View Road.
A male described as being approximately 185cm, and of solid build, wearing a dark hoodie, has grabbed her from behind and pulled her towards him.
The female was able to break away from him after a short struggle. She suffered minor bruising.
Police are seeking information as to the identity of this male, and also urge for members of the public to be aware of their surroundings and their personal safety.
