Police are calling for sightings of a vehicle in relation to suspicious fires in Selwyn, Canterbury tonight (Sunday 15 May).
Several suspicious fires occurred at around 4pm this evening in the Selwyn Riverbed near State Highway One just north of Dunsandel.
A 4WD vehicle was seen in the riverbed close to the vicinity of the fires when they were first noticed. Anyone who may have seen this vehicle or occupants in the vicinity are urged to contact the Selwyn Police on 03 347 9248 or they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
At this stage no arrests have been made in relation to the fire and enquiries are continuing.
