Police and emergency services are at the scene of a fatal crash in the Bell Block area of New Plymouth.
Emergency services were notified of the collision between a car and a motorcyclist on Devon Road, between Golf Course Lane and the Henwood Road off-ramp, about 11.50am.
The motorcyclist received medical attention at the scene but has since died. The Police Serious Crash Unit is on the way.
Devon Road is down to one lane, and a diversion is in place via Egmont Road at the eastern end, and Katere Road at the western end. Police ask motorists to delay their travel if possible, or find an alternate route.
