Male in Ashburton armed robbery at Mobil service station

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a service station in Ashburton last night.  

At around 8.30pm on Friday, 13th  May, 2016, a male walked into Mobil Ashburton and produced a knife to the staff member, demanding cash. He then fled the scene with a small amount of money.

The offender is described as having olive skin, in his late 20s to early 30s, with a small amount of facial hair and a lean build. He is up to 6ft tall, and was wearing a grey vest with a dark long-sleeve top underneath, and long black pants. He was described as very agitated.   

CCTV footage and images of the offender have been obtained, and the scene is being forensically examined today, Saturday 14th  May. Police have several leads to follow and are continuing their investigations.
