Wellington District Police seek Richard TOATOA

Wellington District Police are asking for the public's assistance to locate 46 year old Richard Fergus TOATOA, also known as Richard Gordon.

 

Toatoa is described as Maori, of solid build and 165cm tall.

 

He is wanted in relation to a serious family violence incident that occurred in Otaki on 15 December 2013.

 

He is on active charges of Injures with Intent to Injure, Male Assaults Female and Theft. Toatoa is currently breaching his court imposed bail conditions and was due to appear in the Palmerston North Court on the 25 February this year for a trial.

 

Toatoa failed to appear at Court and a subsequent warrant to arrest has been issued.

 

Information has him travelling all over the north island including Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Manawatu, Horowhenua, Whanganui, Wellington and the Wairarapa areas. He was last sighted in Napier on the 4th of March.

 

Toatoa is aware that Police are looking for him and is actively avoiding Police.

 

Anyone with information about Toatoa's whereabouts is asked to contact Constable Jim Dunlop on (04) 381 2000.  People outside of Wellington District with any information that may help with our enquiries can contact their local police station.
