In the Bay of Plenty, officers ran rather further, joining Rotorua mother and abuse survivor Kahira Rata-Olley when she set off on a 250km run to Hawke's Bay to raise awareness of domestic abuse. Police staff joined her for the first leg, running a relay between Rotorua and Taupo.
In Canterbury, police staff joined a high-vis gathering in Cathedral Square which ended with a powerful haka from members of the Limited Service Volunteer programme.
There will be more pictures from White Ribbon Day in the December issue of the Police magazine Ten One.
