One of three Turangi teenagers involved in a serious crash in the town on Monday (2 November) has now died.
19-year-old Orlando Bell was the rear seat passenger in Subaru Impreza which collided with a tree on Te Rangi Tautahanga Road at approximately 4pm.
He passed away in Waikato Hospital yesterday evening. The driver and front seat passenger remain in hospital.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash and want to hear from any witnesses, or anyone who has other information that may be relevant. Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Nick Weight from the Taupo Road Policing Group on 07 378 6060.
