New Plymouth Police are trying to locate 26 year old Michael John Trinder who was last seen about 10pm on Sunday night (1 November) in Oakura, south of New Plymouth.
It is believed he may be injured following an incident, and Police are very keen to locate him to ensure he is safe.
Trinder is known to hitch hike and Police would like to hear from anyone who may have picked him up.
Trinder is a male caucasian, about 155cm tall, and of medium build.
He has two warrants for his arrest but is not considered dangerous.
