While the public wake in anticipation of the All Black’s next World Cup win, Police across the Waikato are busy preparing for their own crowd pleaser as they set up for today’s Police National Open Day.

Shift Manager, Senior Sergeant Juliet Burgess, of the Waikato District Command Centre, said staff are busy in both Hamilton and Paeroa setting up displays for the Open Day which commences at 10am.

“At the same time we are also continuing business as usual across the District and this morning that includes maintaining a highly visible presence on our roads and around our bars and entertainment areas to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable day.

“So, once you’ve all enjoyed what we hope will be a good result sports wise, come on down to the Hamilton or Paeroa Police Stations for a behind the scenes look at your Police.
