FIREARM BURGLARIES
Invercargill Police are currently investigating two burglaries where firearms were taken.
Between the 11th and 15th of September 2015 a rural home near Riverton was broken into and eight firearms were stolen. Also stolen were courier parcels, jewellery, power tools, a welder, water blaster and a lawn mower.
Between the 12th and 14th of September 2015 a south Invercargill home was also broken into and three firearms were stolen. Also taken was a large amount of hunting equipment and ammunition.
Police ask members of the public to report any suspicious activity which they observe.
