Southern Police look for stolen septic waste truck

Police would like to locate this septic waste truck which was stolen this morning from The Glen in Dunedin.

Southern Police are asking the public for assistance in locating a spetic waste truck which was stolen from The Glen in Dunedin at 4.30am this morning.

The truck has been seen trying to purchase gas around the Dunedin area before potentially heading north. Their has been an unconfirmed sighting of the truck Oamaru at 11.45am.

Police are not sure where the truck is heading, but it could potentially be anywhere in the South Island.

The truck is a 1986 Nissan Atlas, registration number TR9930. It is very distinctive with a blue cab and a bright yellow tank on the back with the words "Barry Dell Plumbing" written on it.

If you have any information on where the truck is, or if you have seen it at all today, please contact the Dunedin Central Police Station on 03 471 4800.
