Auckland City Police are investigating an unexplained death after a man's body was found washed up on Mission Bay beach at about 6 o'clock this morning. Police are making inquiries to identify the man and to locate next of kin. It's intended that a post-mortem examination of the body will be carried out later today.
No further information is available at this stage.
