A crash on SH1 between Lichfield and Tokoroa has claimed three lives.
At approximately 3.45pm a car collided with a forestry truck resulting in the deaths of three people in the car. A fourth person from the car is being treated at the scene before being airlifted to hospital by the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
The road remains closed and diversions are in place.
