Police inquries are continuing following a bank robbery which occurred just after 10am this morning (11 February 2015) at ASB Papakura on Great South Road.
A 19 year old man was arrested and will appear in the Manukau District Court tomorrow charged with robbery. Further charges are pending. He is being held in custody and is assisting Police with inquries.
A member of the public was injured during an altercation inside the bank as the man demanded cash from staff.
This person has received superficial wounds and was taken to hospital to be treated.
Anyone who witnessed this incident or witnessed the man running from the scene and hasn’t already spoken with Police is asked to come forward by contacting Counties Manukau Police on 09 261 1321.
