Person of Interest    Chance Slade RAMEKA 21 years old   Rameka as several Warrants to Arrest which have been issued by the Gisborne District Court and the Porirua District Court.  Both Gisborne and Porirua are regions Mr RAMEKA is known to frequent and reside.    Warrant to Arrest:  2x Failure to Answer District Court Bail 2x Breach of Community Work   In addition to the warrants to arrest; Mr RAMEKA is also sought by the Operation Leo homicide investigation team, as a “person of interest”.   Detective Senior Sergeant John van den Heuvel says; “Operation Leo detectives want to speak to Chance RAMEKA as it is believed he was in the Rossiter Street area last Saturday night and therefore may hold information of value to the inquiry.   Recent attempts to locate Mr RAMEKA have failed and it is apparent he’s actively avoiding Police.  “We know he was in Cannons Creek on Christmas Eve, we know he’s aware he’s wanted but he’s choosing to evade us for the time being.  I urge anyone who knows his whereabouts to contact Police immediately.”    Any information received can be treated in confidence.     Information can also be provided to the Operation Leo Investigation team on; (04) 979-5267, or in person at Porirua Police Station, or confidentially through Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.       John van den Heuvel Detective Senior Sergeant Area Investigations Manager Wellington Police
