Police have today released a computer sketch image of a man they want to identify and locate in relation to a home invasion incident in the Auckland Suburb of Eden Terrace shortly before midnight on Tuesday, December 2.
A man broke into a woman's Karaka St flat at 11:55pm on December 2 and seriously assaulted her after she bravely confronted him. The woman has today signed off on the sketch based on her recollections of him.
The victim's injuries were initially life threatening but she is now recovering well. Police want to identify the assailant who the woman described as:
· A darked skinned Maori
· Aged 28 -35 years old
· About 170cm tall
· Thin, wiry build
· No facial hair
· Dark hair that is quite long at the back
Police would like to hear from anyone who has any information about this crime or who can help identify the person described by the victim.
