Canterbury Police are keen to talk to a witness to an alleged sexual assault that occurred on New Year’s Eve 1995/96 when a woman from Christchurch travelled to a dance party in the greater Nelson area called Entrain.
The Christchurch woman travelled to the event with two other women and two men in a VW Kombi van. The group stopped and camped at Quinney's Bush campground (midway between Nelson, Murchison and Motueka) on the day before the New Year’s Eve event.
Police would like to speak to ‘Barney’, the man shown in the attached photographs, as he is a potential witness to this incident.
