Man struck by car and critically injured

At approximately noon today (Saturday, 8 November) emergency services were called to Cramond Street, Tokoroa.

A 20-year-old man had been struck by a car and has airlifted to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition.

Police are investigating the circumstances which led to his injuries and are currently speaking with a woman who is known to the injured man in relation to the incident.

Cramond Street has been cordoned off and is likely to remain closed for some time while a scene examination is carried out by detectives and serious crash investigators.
