Taranaki Police are concerned for the safety of 27-year-old Opunake man, Aaron Roigard who has been missing since Monday 2 June, 2014.

Aaron was last seen at about 1pm after he left a Waiteika Road address on foot following a disagreement with a family member. He took a cell phone with him but not his wallet or car keys.

Police were notified later that day by his family and a missing person investigation was launched. 

Officer in charge of the investigation Detective Senior Sergeant Blair Burnett says officers have been speaking with Aaron's family and friends to ascertain where he may have gone.

"Officers are continuing to make inquires and today we have had 8 search teams searching parts of the Taranaki coastline, farmland, and several mountain huts with the assistance of an Iroquois helicopter. Unfortunately at this stage we have not found any indication of his whereabouts.

"Aaron's family is missing him terribly and we encourage anyone that may know of his whereabouts or has any other information to contact Police immediately," says Detective Senior Sergeant Burnett.

Aaron is described as being 176cm tall, of medium build with brown hair. He was wearing black clothing, including a beanie, a hooded jacket, trousers and boots at the time of his disappearance.

A older style Holden Commodore Saloon coloured a dark green/blue was seen on Waiteika Road at the time of Aaron's disappearance and Police want to speak to the driver and anyone that may have seen it in the Opunake area.
