Police investigating the disappearance of Blessie Gotingco have arrested and charged a man with her murder.
The 27 year-old man is expected to appear in the North Shore District Court either late this afternoon or tomorrow morning.
Police can now confirm that the body of a woman has been found in a bush area of the Eskdale Cemetry.
The body will be formally identified this evening however Police do believe it is that of Blessie Gotingco.
The Gotingco family have been advised and are understandably devastated. They are being supported by Victim Support, friends and family, and Police.
The family have asked at this time that the media respect their right to grieve in private and that media do not attempt to contact them including by phone, social media or by visiting the house.
A further media release update is expected to be provided later today, however Detective Senior Sergeant Stan Brown is not available for media interviews.
