Four teams are currently searching farmland and bush in the wider Apiti area and another three teams are expected to join them shortly in the search for missing man Stephen Walker.
Approximately 30 Police and LandSAR staff from Palmerston North, Whanganui, and Levin, and two SAR dogs are involved in the search.
Sergeant Andy Brooke, officer in charge of the search says: "Today we are researching and expanding our search area with the goal of finding Stephen or any signs of where he may be."
Stephen is described as being of European descent, 6 foot tall, medium build with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a green Swandri, a green hoodie, track pants and gumboots.
Police are also interested in anyone seen riding a bike matching this description between Bulls and Makoura Road possibly riding without a motorcycle helmet between the hours of 8:30pm on the14th May and 7:30am on the15th May.
