At around 1.00pm this afternoon a body was discovered in the Ruamahanga River. The body was recovered and has been identified by family members.
Police can confirm that the body is that of missing local man Jesse BARBER, 19, who became separated while swimming in the river yesterday.
The family have requested privacy at this difficult time.
