Police in Auckland are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash yesterday during which time an elderly woman was hit by a car when crossing Dominion Rd.
The 83 year-old woman was using a walking stick as an aid at about 11am near the Shackleton Rd/Dominion Rd intersection in Mt Eden when she was struck by a green 1998 Nissan car that was travelling south along Dominion Rd. The driver of the vehicle stopped and has provided information to Police, but more witnesses to the crash that resulted in serious injuries to the woman are sought.
