Police have released the name of the motorist who died after her car collided with a house-moving trailer near Ashburton on Friday.
She was Patricia Robertson, aged 67, of Fairlie.
The crash occurred at Winslow, between Tinwald and Hinds, at around 10.45am on Friday [6 December].
The deceased was the driver and sole occupant of a car travelling north on State Highway 1. The trailer was transporting a house southwards on SH1 and was accompanied by pilot vehicles at front and rear.
Enquiries into the crash are continuing and Police will not speculate further on the circumstances of the crash.
