Extensive local search complete but Police still seeking sightings of missing man

1 min read

Police and Land SAR have completed extensive searches  in the area surrounding Crawford Grove, Naenae, as they attempt to locate Lesley Kriebel, 55, who went missing on Sunday from his home.

During the search members of the public have come forward to provide sightings at a number of locations which Police have followed up but to no avail. These have included sightings in Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt and in Newtown.

Senior Sergeant Steve Harwood says "We are aware that Mr Kriebel may be afraid of and hide from Police and that he is known to travel long distances, the fact that he has been missing for so long causes us to have grave concerns for his safety".

"We continue to ask anyone who has seen Mr Kriebel to contact Police and either Police or one of the volunteers from the organisation that looks after him will follow these up".

Anyone who has sightings of Mr Kriebel is asked to contact Hutt Valley Police on (04) 560 2600.
