Post-mortem raises more questions than answers for Hamilton investigators

1 min read

A forensic examination into the death of a young Hamilton woman has raised more questions than it has answered for officers investigating her death.

Officer in charge of the enquiry into the death of the 17-year-old woman, Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson, said a post-mortem examination was conducted in Auckland today.

"That examination has identified that further examinations are required which could take several days to complete.

"Until those examinations are concluded we will be unable to ascertain the nature of the woman's death so we will continue to treat the matter as suspicious until we have evidence that proves otherwise."

Mr Patterson said an examination of the Te Aroha St property and the area around it was continuing today as were enquiries with residents in and around the immediate area.
