Whangärei Police are seeking information on the aggravated robbery of a service station in the city last night (Sunday October 30).
About 9.40pm two males armed with knives entered the Shell Service Station on Water Street.
They demanded money from the till and an office at the rear of the premises before heading off with an unknown amount of cash.
The males were last seen running towards the Rose Gardens in First Avenue. A third male, who was in the vicinity of the station, is believed to have also been involved with the other two offenders.
Police have arrested a 14-year-old male, who is appearing in the Whangärei Youth Court today, but are still looking for two offenders.
The sole male attendant at the station received minor cuts and is shaken by the incident.
Police would like any witnesses to the robbery or who saw anything prior to the incident to come forward.
