Police investigating the disappearance of Brett Hall from Whanganui only received a small number of calls following an appeal on Police Ten-7 but are not disheartened by the response.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Kirby said: "Every case is different. Mr Hall's property is remote so it was inevitable we wouldn't receive a flood of eye witness reports. At the end of the day just one call or one piece of information can solve a homicide so the limited response does not necessarily concern us. Public appeals are just a small part of an investigation. A lot of work is also going on behind the scenes and we are receiving cooperation from some of Mr Hall's friends and associates. We believe it is the people who knew Mr Hall that hold the key to his disappearance."
A leaflet about Mr Hall's disappearance has been produced and is being handed out to commercial businesses in the Whanganui and Palmerston North areas.
This is aimed at filling the gaps of Mr Hall's movements in the days leading up to him being reported missing on Tuesday, 31 May.
