The body of a woman found dead in her Hamilton home was removed late this morning and is currently being transported to Auckland to facilitate a post-mortem examination.
Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Thornton of the Hamilton CIB said investigators hoped the results of this examination would determine the cause of the 55-year-old woman's death and direct the course of their investigations.
"At this stage all we can confirm is that we are investigating a case of a sudden death," he said.
