Hamilton police await post-mortem results in relation to woman's sudden death

Hamilton Police are awaiting the findings of a post-mortem to determine the cause of death of a woman found dead in her Whitiora home this morning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Thornton declined to speculate what caused the 55-year-old woman's demise and said Police were currently treating the case as one of sudden death.

"We're keeping an open mind at this time and hope the post-mortem will give us a clearer picture later in the day of just what has occurred."
