The man whose body was found at a Burrows Place, Christchurch address on Monday has been formally identified as Stephen Mwangi MAINA, age 38 years, of Ashburton. His family in Kenya have been advised. He came to New Zealand in October 2008 and worked in the Freezing works in Ashburton.
Mr Maina's body along with badly injured woman Lydiah Muthoni MUNENE, age 34 years, was found at the Burrows Street house when a friend went looking for her.
Mrs MUNENE's husband Samuel Ngumo NJUGUNA aged 39, left for Auckland on Sunday morning and Police are seeking information about the movement of his Peugot car between Friday and Sunday.
