Aggravated robbery at service station

At about 1.45am on the morning of Saturday 26 July 2008 the Challenge Service Station situated at 11 Opawa Road was the subject of an aggravated robbery.

Two males entered the service station and approached the sole attendant and demanded money.

The attendant was then grabbed by one of the males and threatened, resulting in him opening the till drawer.

The male has then grabbed all the $20.00 notes from the till and left a short time later accompanied by the second male.

The pair then ran off towards Wilson Road.

The station's video security cameras captured the incident and police seek assistance in identifying those responsible.

Descriptions:

Male, light skin Maori, aged about early 20's, approx 182 cm (6 foot in height), medium build. He was wearing blue jeans, white/grey sneakers, and a patterned, two tone sweatshirt hoodie.

Male, aged about early 20's, approx 170cm, (5'7") in height, medium build. He was wearing a 3/4 length, black duffel coat with a hood, and dark trousers.

The attached pictures show the first male whom we seek to identify.
