Marie Davis Inveatigation 20/04/08

Today the investigation into the death of Marie Davis focussed on speaking to people on the North Bank on the Waimakariri River, Christchurch.

The investigation Team, with the assistance of the Kaiapoi Community Watch Group spoke to approximately 200 people.

The information from these persons is being processed and analysed, which is part of the investigation process.

The public have been extremely helpful but there are people who have been seen in this area on Sunday the 6th April 2008 who have not yet come forward and are yet to be identified. These people are needed to help build a picture for the Investigation Team as to what occurred in this area on the Sunday morning.

The Investigation Team is particularly interested in speaking to people that utilise the motorcycle area on the north bank on the Waimakariri River.

A press conference with be held at the Christchurch Central Police Station on the 21 April 2008 at 4.30 pm.
